Visiting Guwahati & Shillong

Starting tomorrow. Am speaking at an entrepreneurship event organised by IIT Guwahati and then going to Shillong (just! this is my first ever trip to the North east).

The exciting bit is I don't know anyone in this part of the world.. but would love to meet some interesting people. Entrepreneurs, artists, musicians - whatever. Would also love to visit a couple of local colleges and of course IIM Shillong.

And if anyone has suggestions on what to do/ where to eat/ hang out etc please feel free to share... I will be checking my mail on gprs (God willing) so drop me a line at rashmi_b at yahoo.com

  9. The students of Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, Chattisgarh, are on an indefinite strike to remove an incompetent Vice-Chancellor. Please read about it at http://removethevc.blogspot.com and http://www.revivehnlu.com. The strike has been on for 9 days now, and with the VC having declared sine die on Saturday, the students have the odds stacked heavily against their enterprise. What they need, if they are to succeed, is a little help from you. Please help in any way you can to garner public support for these students, who stand by their convictions despite the authorities, bureaucracy and government refusing to offer any help.

  13. Hi Rashmi,

The North East is India's hidden splendour. there are umpteen possibilities here and you wonder if you are in India, especially if you happen to also go to Sikkim.

savour the climate, have great food, take some brilliant snaps, go shopping buying foreeegn stuff and enjoy. be safe too.

  14. I frequently visit NE, places like Agartala, Shillong, Guwahati, Tezpur & Jorhat. But I seldom find time to explore these locations. I intend to visit in April with couple of free days in hand. Can anyone suggest 2-3 days trip in NE. one can reach me : samd1875 at gmail dot com.
